Matthew 25 Health and Care of Fort Wayne, Indiana, recognizes that the mask mandate for the State of Indiana will end Tuesday, April 6, 2021. However, the use of masks is still recommended by Gov. Holcomb and can be made mandatory by business owners, local governments, and non-profit organizations.
According to CEO, Michelle Creager, CPA, “Patient health and safety is our number one consideration. With that in mind, Matthew 25 will continue to enforce our current COVID-19 pandemic policies.” These guidelines were made and approved inter-departmentally, by both Dr. Tammie Stinson, MD, and Dr. Roger Valliere, DDS, according to recommendations by the CDC and the Allen County Department of Health.
Matthew 25 Health and Care will continue to enforce the following policies:
· Only people 18 and older may enter the building. Minors are NOT allowed to accompany adults to appointments or to wait in the lobby.
· All staff, volunteers, patients, and vendors inside the Matthew 25 building are required to wear a face covering that fits over the mouth and nose.
· Only patients and their interpreter, if needed, are allowed in the building. Family and friends who come with a patient will be asked to wait in their car or outdoors.
Matthew 25 serves low-income adults who have no medical or dental insurance. Many of the patients have chronic health issues such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma, which make them more susceptible to complications should they contract COVID-19. The staff is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all.
